The Strength to Keep Going

In the morning, my husband gets up with The Boy so The Girl and I can nap until he has to leave for work at 8.

This morning, when he opened the door, The Boy came  barreling over to the bed and clambered in next to me (The Girl was  asleep in her bassinet).

"Poor Mom, all alone," he said. "Gonna give her a hug."  And he did.

I am rejuvenated.

Oh, so cute. And it does make me feel so much better on the worst days when Maggie does something like that. Plus, it makes me feel like maybe I am not irretrievably screwing this up when she does stuff like that, that my goal of raising a loving, ethical and empathic person might just happen after all. Sound slike you are too.

Those are the best kind of hugs I think :)

Now that's the kind of wake-up call I need! So adorbable. I'm glad your day started with such sweetness. I hope it continues.

Awwww...SO cute! My husband is currently away on a weeklong business trip, and as we were driving home from dropping him off at the airport, the oldest of my three piped up from the back seat and asked "Mommy, are you sure you can take care of us without Daddy for a whole week? It's a LOT of work." Would be funnier if I hadn't recently recovered from being so sick that it was a legitimate question, but still, so cute!

Awww! How sweet!
