We went out. I had an apple martini and the husband had an actual martini and then we had a lovely dinner. We were home by 10.
The Boy didn't make a sound while we were out--which made it a snap for all concerned. By 10:30, he was up in his crib, trapped in a standing position and chewing on the railing, doing his very best "Kilroy Was Here" imitation.
Then, because there is no rest for the wicked, he was up for the day at 4:45.
So glad you got out for awhile. Hope today that some sleep was had by all.

maybe the boy needed an apple martini himself! or perhaps you needed another to sleep through the noise. glad you went out. hopefully you didn't regret it.

We also suffered through major sleep disruptions around 8-9 months (our baby will be 12 months next week). The 5:00 am wakings sounds familiar. In addition to the early mornings, our son was taking about ONE 20-40 minute nap a day there for a while.
Happy to report that he's been back to two hour-long naps for the past month, and asleep from 7 pm - 6:30 am. Hang in there--it's cliche, but it does get better.

Hooray for going out! And may I suggest a smidge of orajel and baby tylenol? At 8 months, it's more likely to be teeth than tum.

4:45? Ouch! Hopefully, you have done some catching up in the sleep department by now.

Glad you got out for a while. Gatito got stuck on his tummy and had to be flipped back over 3x Saturday night/wee hours Sunday morning. Can't wait for the stuck standing up fun.
